Ignoring instructions given to you by God could be dangerous. You give the devil a chance to rule your mind.
The instruction is not to improve God but to improve you. The instruction is for you.
Disobedience to spiritual instructions could hinder the flow of the anointing in a man's life.
There are alot of instructions given to us in God’s Word. This is the reason we must put the Word before us at all times, we must allow the Word lead us.
Psalm 119 verse 105 says,
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The Word is there to lead us. There are no errors when it comes to the Word leading you. You can never miss it with the Word.
Don't try to get it done somehow.
Moreover, when God gives you an instruction. He shows you how to do it.
Turn your Bibles to 2 Samuel Chapter 6 from verse 1 to 11
Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there He died by the ark of God.
And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and He called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
From the story, we see that the men of Israel didn't follow God’s instruction concerning how to carry the ark into the city.
God had chosen men, for the work, these were the levies.
At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day. Deuteronomy 10 verse 8
Also, 1 Chronicles 15 verse 2
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
These, the levites, were chosen priests of God.
But those that carried the ark were not priests, they were not levites,
And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart. 1 Chronicles 13 veres 7
This was the reason God struck Uzzah. He was already angry with them.
There was a due order to be followed in carrying the ark, but it wasn't done that way.
But thank God David realised his errors and made ammendments.
You'll find this in 1 Chronicles 15:1-25
Also, when your man of God gives you an instruction, it's as good as God giving you an instruction.
2 Chronicles 20 verse 20 says,
...Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Your prosperity and success are tied to your obedience to your man of God.
You save yourself from errors, mistakes and mishaps, when you obey simple instructions.
As you study God’s Word, it instructs you. It corrects you, it tells you what to do.
2 Timothy 3 verse 16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
You can never miss your way with God’s Word.
These instructions are to make you better and be able to do the work of the ministry effectively.
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3 verse 17
So if you want to be "...perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works," you must follow the Word.
The Word gives your life a direction.
When your life is moving rightly, you won't have a reason for a blue day. Every day is a day of joy for you. You life is fulfilled. vibrant and healthy.
This is what we can call a-life-with-the-Word.
Set the Word always before you and have it lead you.
You should be happy to have someone instruct you, without this, you live anyhow and you are not anyhow because Christ paid for you.
So don't neglect spiritual instructions, they are your life.
Proverbs 4 verse13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
Lift up your hands now and worship God.
