CHRIST IS A PLACE 2

Pastor Cheri

PRAYER

Lord we thank you for the entrance of Your Word into us today, it brings to us wisdom from your Word and we also receive the blessings coming from it. Thank you for Your glory that is about to be revealed in our lives today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

In Christ, you have the authority to reign in this life over Satan and his cohorts of darkness. They have no power over us, we are in charge and in control. Hallelujah!

Ephesians 2:6 says,
"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"
And we are seated, "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:" Ephesians 1:21.

In John 14:2-3, Jesus told His disciples,
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
Jesus wasn't referring to heaven when said, "I go to prepare a place for you." He wasn’t referring to heaven because He didn't need to prepare heaven for us, heaven was already prepared. The place He went to prepare is called Christ; our place at the right hand of the Father, where we are now seated with Him in the heavenly realms, far above defeat, death, failures and all the works of darkness. Christ is a place of glory and dominion. Praise God!

The place Christ is also called Zion, the city of the living God.
"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect," Hebrews 12:22-23.
The firstborn here is referring to Christ.

We have come into Christ now, this is where we live. The ordinary man can't see this place, but we are there, we live there. Those in the world can't see this but we can because that is where we live, that is where we function from. We were brought into this place by Christ and that is where we now live. Glory to God.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He sat down  at the right hand of God.
"But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;" Hebrews 10:12.
"Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him." 1 Peter 3:22.
"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God." Colossians 3:1.

These three verses show you where Jesus was seated.

Note that it didn't say, the right hand side of God. This would have meant a geographical location. You know where your right hand side is and your left hand side. Then you check where the location would be if you where facing this or that direction. No!

Just by the way side, you don't measure your place in Christ geographically. When you stand upright and you lift up your hands to worship God; you take them up, someone who is living in another part of the world also takes up his hands to worship God; we know that the earth is round, spinning upon an axis; you are not in the same direction as the one worshipping God in another part of the earth. The earth is round and you are in a different direction with someone in another part of it or should I say, another country.
We are not dealing with a geographical location here, so it is just by the way side, we are referring to a place of authority and power where we reign and rule with Christ. This is what the right hand of God is called, a place of authority and power and we are seated together with Him there.

We reign and rule over the forces of darkness, over the elements of this world, we have all these in subjection to us, they are under our feet, we have the dominion over them all. Praise God!

This is why the Christian cannot be defeated because of where we are, where we are seated. We know no pain, lack or death, only victory belongs to us from this realm. This is where we reign, rule and exercise our authority in God.

Thank God for the privilege to be brought into this place where we can exercise our authority. Christ, our place in God, Zion, our abode.

Those in Zion do not get sick, they don’t even talk sickness.
"And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity." Isaiah 33:24.

In Zion, we reign above the negativities of life. No hardship or pain. It's a life of gain, filled with enjoyment.

If you are not yet enjoying this life, this is your opportunity.
Lift up your right hand wherever you are and say this prayer;
"O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, I ask that You come and be the Lord of my life from today. I believe You died and rose again on the third day. I believe you are seated at the right hand of the Father. I receive you into my spirit. Come and be the Lord of my life from today, in Jesus' Name. Amen."

If you just prayed that prayer, congratulations and welcome to the family of God. Click on the First Timers/New Converts link below the page to send in your informations and also for a free gift.

For the rest of us, lift up your hands and worship the Lord now. Thank Him
