Christians are those who have been born of God. They are not living with the life of the world or of the flesh, they are not living from this world, they are living from the Spirit realm. This is the realm that controls and dominates their minds and their senses. They function from this realm. Their lives are patterned after this realm.
The day you prayed the salvation prayer, you separated yourself from the flesh. This kind of life has nothing to do with you anymore, you are now a man of the spirit. Hallelujah!
The nature of righteousness followed this kind of life, righteousness from God, God’s own righteousness. Hallelujah!
Righteousness is the ability to stand before God without any sense of guilt inferiority or condemnation. This is the very nature of God. He is our measure and standard for righteousness. What He says is right is what is right and what He says is wrong is what is wrong.
When you got saved, God gave you His righteousness and He gave it to you as a gift. You didn't need to pay for it, He qualified you for it and gave it to you. Jesus died to qualify you for this gift.
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" Romans 5:17.
Righteousness is a free gift!The preceeding verse says,"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." Romans 5:18.
The righteousness you have now is not yours but God’s. So you don’t try to live right, if you you have this righteousness, you would live right naturally. You receive it and it causes you to do the right thing. You already have it before any other thing. Praise God!
This Bible says in Isaiah 64:6,"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
This is what your own righteousness looks like. When you try to live right without God's righteousness, you try to live right without salvation, it doesn't qualify. Praise God!Only His righteousness can help you do it right, and you'll do it right the first time, which is excellence.
When you stand before Him, all He sees is Jesus. The Bible says,"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world." 1 John 4:17.You are just like Jesus! Hallelujah!
Also, you are pure! Hallelujah! If you are saved, you are pure."And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." 1 John 3:3.
Thank God for salvation. Many have lived in the dark and are uncertain about their lives and the future. All they need is the Gospel of Christ’s righteousness, the Gospel of Christ's death, burial and resurrection. They need to know what God has done for them.
Some talk about the Christian life, they say, the Christian road is very narrow, it's a hard life. That message is not from God who lavishly supplied us all that we need to live a beautiful, wonderful and glorious life in Him. There is no better life!This is why joy comes when you receive salvation, you immediately become happy and this happy state affects everything and everyone around you. I wonder why anyone would want to live otherwise.
It should be the other way round, the life of the world is a narrow road, because it's full of hardship and toil, suffering and poverty. It's a hard life which no one ought to enjoy.
Looking at the two, you would go for the better, the Christian life. The Bible says,"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" Deuteronomy 30:19.The Bible says,"choose life...." You have already been shown the better of the two, so go for it. Hallelujah!The way of the world leads to death and that of the Spirit leads to life. Praise God!
If God has said this is how you are, you should live that way. If He calls you the righteousness of God, agree with it. Answer your name and live that way.
If there is a way you have been living that is not consistent with God’s Word and the Christian life, you have to give it up and surrender to God. Let go of that kind of life, it never pays.
Make Jesus Christ the Lord of my life right now by saying out loud, this prayer;"O Lord God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, I give it up today to accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour. I want to be your child and you my Father. Thank you for dying for me, thank you for your resurrection on the third day. Come and be the Lord of my life forever. Thank you Jesus! I receive you today. I am born again today, I am saved." Hallelujah!
Welcome to Church. There is no better life. You are reigning now, reigning in righteousness, reigning as a king. Remember the Scripture,"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" Romans 5:17.
Live your life this way with the Holy Ghost leading you and teaching you. Hallelujah!
