Turn your Bibles to Romans 6:4-11."Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For He that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Without the death of Jesus, we wouldn't be celebrating Easter today. We wouldn't be born again. His death brought our salvation, His resurrection gave us eternal life."...that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."This is the life that freed us from sin, defeat and death. This life is what makes us not have a past. We are altogether completely new as new creations; the past is non-existent.
So never tell someone, "When I was an armed robber, I know what I used to do." If you are born again, you were never an armed robber. Jesus has paid for your sins, you are now living for Jesus, dead to sin and alive to God. Hallelujah!
This same way, Jesus paid for the whole world. You may say, "I never stole, cheated or lied, I was never a sinner, but I'm born again." Yes, you never did all those, but you were a sinner. Jesus paid for the whole world, not for some people. Hallelujah!"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23.This Scripture was alive before salvation. The world was under sin, there was no righteous person. This was due to Adam's transgression after which man needed to be reconciled back to God. Adam's transgression brought death into the world.
After salvation we received the righteousness of God."For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" Romans 5:17.
Now you are reigning. Death reigned before now it's you reigning. Glory to God! You are reigning in the strength of God, you are reigning in the health of God, you are reigning in this righteousness. Sin no longer has dominion over you because you are reigning in the righteousness of God. Hallelujah!
God qualified us to receive His righteousness. This is what we live with as Christians. That is why you cannot be accused, not even the devil can, because Jesus fulfilled all the righteous demands of justice. He paid for you to give you the best life ever.
Turn to Ephesians 2:1-6"And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"
You have been made alive unto God. Hallelujah! Living everyday for Jesus. The life of God is now working in you, in every part of your system. Hallelujah!
Jesus was our Passover Sacrifice. He became the lamb used for passover in the old testament. He was a Perfect Sacrifice! The Perfect Sacrifice for us. The sacrifice needed a sinless one and Jesus was that one. No one else qualifys to die for you. This is so good to know. It makes you walk around with springs in your steps, "The Creator of the whole world died for me." This means I am perfect, no errors in my life. I don't do things by mistake and I don't make mistakes, I'm perfect in Him. Hallelujah!
He has made you just like Him. The Bible says, "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Colossians 2:10.Complete here measure perfect, nothing missing, nothing broken. You are living a life of glory! Hallelujah!
Jesus has suffered. He finished it on the cross. Now the glory ought to follow."Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow." 1 Peter 1:11.
He has glorified you. Your life is full of glory now.Don't ever say your life is empty, no! It is full of glory, it is full of the glory of God! Hallelujah! With this, your life should bubble with joy. Praise God!
So live everyday for Him. Display His glory to the world. Show them how radiant and glorious life should be.
He loved you so much and came to die for you, you should be grateful for this and always appreciate Him for His great love for you.
What does Easter mean to you. It’s not just enough to fill your belly with good things. As we celebrate, rejoice at His finished works on the cross. Yes, He died, but didn't remain in the grave. He rose Hallelujah! He rose with a new life. A life of endless joy and prosperity, for us to begin living here on earth. Hallelujah!
As your celebrate today, do it with joy and thanksgiving in your heart!
And if you are not yet born again, please do so now, so you can enjoy this beautiful life Christ has brought.Say this prayer out loud, believing in your heart;"O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Our Lord Jesus. I believe you died, were buried and rose again. I believe in the life you have brought. I receive you and receive that life today. I receive remission of sins in my soul. I receive the Holy Spirit right now. Thank you Lord! I am saved. I am born again!"
Congratulations to you if just said that prayer. Welcome to the body of Christ.
Now, it's Easter, get a gift for someone today and celebrate with them. God bless you!
HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE! I LOVE YOU!
