There was a widow in the Bible in Zarephath. She was commanded by God to take care of Prophet Elisha. It was a famine period and she had nothing. She was poor.The brook from which Elijah drank water dried up due to the famine, so God commanded him to go to the widow.What made it happen this way? It was the widow's time of visitation. God set her up to receive greater blessings! Hallelujah!
Let's turn to 1 Kings 17 verse 44 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.5 So He went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for He went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and He drank of the brook.7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.8 And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.10 So He arose and went to Zarephath. And when He came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and He called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.11 And as she was going to fetch it, He called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by Elijah.
Has God ever instructed you on your giving? Has the Spirit of God showed you at any point in time how and what you should give?It pays to follow financial instructions from the Spirit. You are not only obeying God, but also turning and programming yourself into inestimable riches, unquantified wealth. Wealth that you cannot even explain how it happened. This is directly from God! Hallelujah!And since it is so, cannot be stopped or tampered with by anyone not even a demon hatched out of hell. Praise God!
Your financial prosperity is very important to God. Without money, you can’t preach the Gospel.Zechariah 1 verse 17 says,"Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem."
You need money for the work of the Lord, so you have to have it. Poor people can't preach the Gospel.You may say like the widow,"I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die."
Follow the instruction of your Man Of God. Anytime He tells you to give, do it, and do it without delay. Do it promptly, without thinking twice.We just saw how the widow received her blessing. God programmed it that way. God is programming your even now, in Jesus Name.Every opportunity that comes to give in the house of God, do so. Be liberal with your giving. The Bible says,"The liberal soul shall be made fat: and He that watereth shall be watered also himself." Proverbs 11 verse 25.You want to be fat? Get this liberality working! Hallelujah! God has something greater in store for you. These blessings do not only tie to your finances, it also ties to your future bringing you in contact with your dreams and desires. God can make you that man or woman you have always wanted to be! Hallelujah!God took care of the widow’s future. He took care of her immediate needs and settled her future. God is settling your future even now. Praise God!
Let nothing discourage or stop you from giving. Anything that tries to stop you is getting into the programming from God, so don't allow it. Whether it's a thought or a human being, don't allow it!.
Give to the Lord and give big! Any available means, your tithes, offerings, partnerships, give them, and give big! When you give big, you receive big! Hallelujah!
