MEDITATION

Pastor Cheri Isioma Ajufo

Meditation is a spiritual exercise that puts you above this plain of life. It puts you above the ordinary. It takes you extraordinary such that you begin to function with principles that don't match the world's system.

You cannot have a balanced Christian life without meditation. You should be balanced, in your finances, balanced in your job, balanced in your academics, in your family, e.t.c.
When you are balanced, there is joy and peace.

This should therefore be a normal practice for every believer, because our lives ought to be on the increase, reflecting excellence, progress and prosperity.

Meditation here is on the Word of God.
When you meditate on the wrong things, you'll find yourself in the wrong things, producing the wrong things, wrong ideas e.t.c. You are what you eat.
Praise God!
When you dump just anything into you, you'll produce it. It's garbage in, garbage out.
Never allow the wrong things into you, it’ll bear wrong fruits and cause damages.
Hallelujah!

Turn to Joshua 1 verse 8
It says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

This means, to have good success you must meditate on the Word. Meditating on the Word is God’s recipe for success.
Now that you know what do you do  how do you start?
Pastor has taught on three levels of meditation.
The first is to ponder, think and brood over the Word. This brings pictures into your spirit. You see them and take a hold of them.
Hallelujah!

So the first level is to PONDER!

The second is to mutter. You mutter the Word under your breath like soliloquy.
No one may hear you. You keep on until the Word becomes personal to you. You do this over and over again.
Hallelujah!

So you ponder, you mutter, and the third level is, you ROAR. This means to shout the Word. This drowns every other thought, allowing the ascendancy of the Word. Negative thoughts of fear, failure, and all that has to do with the down life, are drowned as you ROAR, you SHOUT the Word.

Meditation is our surety for success, good success. You cannot not succeed without meditation.

Meditation causes you to deal wisely. If you have the Amplified Classic Version of the Bible, turn to Joshua 1 verse 8.
It says,
"This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good [a]success."

With meditation, you make the right choices, the best decisions, deal wisely in the affairs of life.
There are no errors with you. Praise God!

Genesis 24 verse 63, turn there .
And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

This was the secret to Isaac’s wealth, meditation! Hallelujah!
Genesis 26 verses12 to 14 says,
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until He became very great:
For He had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

This was the kind of life that Isaac was in. The Bible says he went in the evening to meditate. He meditated on the Word. Hallelujah!
The next Scripture shows you the kind of progress he made. He was not only rich, but waxed great, and went forward and grew, until he became very great!.
Isaac was very great! Hallelujah!
This is the kind of life you should be living.

If you know the Jews who go to the wailing wall, very well, they go there muttering words as they face the wall; It's called the wailing wall.
These Jews are very rich.
They come from there ending up being very rich due to thIs simple principle.

Learn to talk the Word. It will deliver your inheritance to you. Hallelujah!

Don't  be too busy for the Word. Create time for the Word. It’s more important than anything else. Without it, you cannot do what you are doing. It is what would give you the good success you want to have. Let nothing take you off or take your attention from the Word. It should always be before you.

Deuteronomy 11 verse 18 says,
"Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes."

Be voracious for the Word. The Word can build you up and give you an inheritance.

The Word is your foundation, your firm foundation, when something happens to your foundation, every thing else goes wrong. So keep your foundation firm. Praise God! Keep it firm and strong.
You build this firm foundation by letting the Word get soaked up in your spirit. You are unshakable and unmovable because you are soaked in the Word. Hallelujah!

Matthew 7 verses 24 to 25
It says,
"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

When your foundation is firm, no trial or challenge can bring you down, and it’s only the Word that can keep you there. Praise the Lord!

So go ahead and start practising the three levels of meditation, if you haven’t started. Get the Word into your spirit. As you do this, you'll find yourself operating at a higher level of success.
Praise God!

Lift up those hands and worship God!
